New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Despite missing 25 games, reigning MVP Kevin Durant was selected to the All-Star Game Thursday as a reserve, while Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard were among the players snubbed. Durant, who was named MVP of the 2012 All-Star Game and will be appearing in it for the sixth straight time, has only played in 21 of Oklahoma Citys 46 games while dealing with foot and toe injuries. There are plenty of familiar faces among the Western Conference reserves, including Durants teammate Russell Westbrook, Rockets MVP candidate and NBA scoring leader James Harden and Clippers point guard Chris Paul. Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson will be making his first appearance. Spurs big man and future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan will be making his 15th appearance in the All-Star Game, tying him with Kevin Garnett and Shaquille ONeal for third-most all-time. Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who has put off thumb surgery, rounds out the West roster. Harden is expected to move into the starting lineup in place of injured Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who is sidelined for the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. Lillard, Cousins and Grizzlies guard Mike Conley are among the potential replacements on the roster. There were few, if any, surprises among the Eastern Conference reserves, with the conference-leading Hawks placing three players in the game for the first time since 1980. Point guard Jeff Teague made his first All-Star Game, forward Paul Millsap his second and center Al Horford will represent the East for the third time. Miami will be well-represented as well, with veterans Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh earning their 11th and 10th consecutive trips, respectively. Clevelands Kyrie Irving and Chicagos Jimmy Butler round out the roster. Irving, the reigning All-Star Game MVP, will play in the game for a third consecutive year, while Butler is set to make his first appearance. The Western Conference starters as voted by fans were Bryant, Golden States Stephen Curry, New Orleans Anthony Davis, Memphis Marc Gasol and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers. New Yorks Carmelo Anthony, Chicagos Pau Gasol, Clevelands LeBron James, Torontos Kyle Lowry and Washingtons John Wall were voted as starters for the Eastern Conference. Atlantas Mike Budenholzer and his staff will coach the East, while first-year Golden State coach Steve Kerr and his staff will lead the West. The game will be held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Feb. 15. JJ Arcega-Whiteside Youth Jersey . - The Seattle Sounders busy off-season continues with the team acquiring defender Chad Marshall from the Columbus Crew in exchange for a 2015 third-round pick and allocation money. Brian Westbrook Youth Jersey . The Boston Celtics hadnt played since the All-Star break. So the Suns 100-94 victory over Boston Wednesday night was an uphill affair, with Phoenix relying on balance rather than its trademark high energy. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-...Goedert-Jersey/. A night later, he was back to help lead a rout of the Detroit Pistons. John Wall had 20 points and 11 assists, and Beal scored 10 of his 15 points during the second quarter as Washington pulled away for a 106-82 victory on Saturday. Jerome Brown Eagles Jersey . The Giants chances of winning the division were dealt a serious blow by the three-game sweep at the hands of the lowly Padres. The Giants open a three-game series at Dodger Stadium on Monday night. San Francisco is still in good shape to clinch a wild-card berth, although it dropped into a tie with Pittsburgh in the race for the top spot. Brian Dawkins Youth Jersey . -- Kael Mouillierat scored three times and set up one more as the St. TORONTO -- When the pace car began sliding around the Toronto track, IndyCar knew it was in trouble. The Honda Indy Toronto was postponed Saturday after steady rain throughout the afternoon made for hazardous conditions on the 11-turn, 2.81-kilometre track at Exhibition Place. "Im gutted. I just feel so bad for all the fans here in Toronto," said driver James Hinchcliffe of Oakville, Ont. "Its the worst case scenario -- the rain started right as the race was supposed to start, the conditions were just so bad. "Just gutted for these guys. I really hope we can get back tomorrow and mother nature co-operates a bit more and we can put on a show. These fans have been great all week and they definitely deserve it." The race was moved to Sunday morning, with the second half of a planned doubleheader still scheduled for the afternoon. Both races were also shortened from 85 laps to 65. The morning race will feature a rolling start, while the second will be a standing start. Qualifying for the second race will also be determined by current points standings, which puts Helio Castroneves on pole. Driver visibility and a slick street course led to a pair of accidents before Saturdays race ever got started when Ryan Briscoe and Will Power each hit the wall. Even the pace car nearly slid into a corner. "The conditions were tough for sure," said Ryan Hunter-Reay. "I cant speak for the drivers in the back on how visibility was but it was borderline -- marginal even -- for us." Sebastien Bourdais was set to start on pole after qualifying first in the morning session. Bourdais waited under an umbrella through two red flags that twice pulled the cars off the track as IndyCar officials hoped for the weather to clear. It never did. Bourdais, who was to start a race from the pole for the first time since 2007, looked steamed as he left the pits for good. Hell start again in first place Sunday morning. IndyCar president Derrick Wallker said race officials waited as long as they could for conditions to improve.dddddddddddd "I think it would have been crazy to have started the race today," said Walker. "I mean it doesnt look like a lot of water but when you get out there and look at it, its enough to make a difference. ... "I dont think we did the wrong thing. We waited and waited and part of the indecision ... was really us just going as late as we could before we called it." The race, which was initially shortened from 85 laps to 65 and two hours to 90 minutes to compensate for the delay, was finally called after well over two hours of waiting. The first casualty of the weather was a planned standing start that had to be scrapped in favour of a safer, single-file rolling start. Briscoe then collided with the same turn where he broke his wrist last year. Power, who was supposed to start second, slid into a 180 and damaged his car to trigger another delay. Powers Penke crew hustled to get his car fixed and back on the grid, but the effort was futile in the end when the race was cancelled and soggy fans left the track. IndyCar races can be run in the rain, the last one as recently as June 28 at the doubleheader in Houston. But Walker said sweepers couldnt keep water from collecting on the track at Exhibition Place. Driver and fan safety, in the end, trumped the race. "Racing in the rains great but you cant go and throw everybody in the fence just because the conditions are archaic and I think they were that today," said Walker. Both races Sunday could be just as wet. More rain is in the forecast, but Walker was adamant IndyCar would run at least one race in Toronto. "I think wed probably stay here as long as we possible could to get a race in, for sure," said Walker who added there was a chance it might also happen Monday if necessary. "But I think were going to get it in tomorrow. At least one race tomorrow." ' ' '
